Where is open wheel racing at in America? The Indy 500 used to be the marque race in the world, now it's almost a joke.
Is open wheel racing dead in America?

re: Is open wheel racing dead in America?
I've thought long and hard on the subject, and decided to take it a bit less seriously. You can't get upset over what you can't control. Doesn't mean I don't have my preferences, (which don't match any body else's), but just means I don't seriously expect to get what I want (as a race fan).
What I want:
1. To see glory in the making. 2. To see bravery. 3. To see cars that please me. 4. To see passing during races. 5. To see less men in the pits, and see those that are there stumble and fall from time-to-time while trying their best. 6. To see the faces of the drivers as they drive. 7. To see the wheels of the race cars uncovered by body work. 8. To see wings removed from F1 & Indy Cars. 9. To see a pass made because a driver missed a shift. 10.To see a field of cars different from each other. 11.To see different engines. 12.To see different chassis. 13.To see the venue deliver real value for sponsor $$$'s. 14.To see lots of $$$ from those real sponsors. 15.To see these brave men as hero's, and engineers as hero's.
IMHO
