Have somewhat of an offer to get started with some local stockcar racing, by my buddy who just purchased an '84 Caprice Coup. I'm not looking for anything outrageous, just something I can afford and slowly build up, something good for typical, entry-level roundtrack racing. Any ideas or reccomendations?

Everybody in racing likes to grumble about the high expenses of the sport. but it's always part of it.
My personal choice would be the 93-95 Mazda Rx-7....
