How do i go about scaling a new car we just built? The car is front wheel drive and weights 2300lbs, What should the proper cross % be and how is that determined?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You left a lot of information out of your question. 1. size of track 2. banking 3. spring rates 4. tire size and type (street or race, radial or bias) 5. current left side weight

We run a daytona on an asphalt hi bank 1/4 mile track and have learned a lot by visiting the following:
http://spartanspeedway.com/OldBoardStuff/PonySpeedSecrets.html
www.4m.net
Front wheel drive cars push coming off the corners so stiffening the rear of the car, getting your left front to be the heaviest corner and shifting weight to the rear of the car all seem to help.
We get what we want with tire pressure, springs and stagger.
Also get the car as light as you can removing every nut and bolt possible including undercoating etc..and get any existing weight to the left side.
Get the car scaled and springs rated and throw your info up on 4m.net. Those guys are usually pretty good.
Good Luck.
