Another new guy

What's up all, names Rob. I'm a noob to the racing world so I'll be lurking quite a bit. Thought I'd open up with a couple basic questions. I'm building up a 4cyl 00 accord, stock compression is 9:3:1, 178psi. I've got it up to 210psi evenly across the cylinders (idle compression). Should I switch to a higher octane? How strong is the boot-leg compression as compared to actually changing the pistons? and just guessing, what might the compression ration be at now? thanks, Rob
