ChumpCar World Series

The Chump Car World Series is a nationwide road racing Enduro Series (endurance races), with events ranging from 14- to 24-hours in length for production sports car, touring and sedan vehicles. The twist? All cars in the race must be purchased for or valued at less than $500. Of course, another $1,500-$2,000 of safety equipment and modifications must be made to the cars before they can compete, but the finished product is a fun-filled, low-cost race car that doesn’t have any advantage over any other car in the field. The series stresses a casual weekend of racing, with a focus on returning road course racing to the era of the 1950’s and 1960’s, when camaraderie, sportsmanship and racing for pure enjoyment was far more important than cut-throat competition and high cost. In this series, everyone is “…just another chump.”

There will be more information to follow, the website is not quite active yet but I should be able to answer any questions you have as far as fees, rules, locations, etc.  This series has events scheduled in places like Rockingham NC, Roebling GA, Sebring and Homestead-Miami Fl, as well as 12 other well known tracks nationwide.   The inaugural race will be taking place in Portland, Oregon on October 31st, 2009.

You can either respond to this post with any questions or please feel free to email me at cpmskinny8@yahoo.com.  See you at the track!

What do all of you think about this new series?  I am a fan of these types of races myself and want to spark some interest in this particular area so they bring more competitions like this closer to home.

Dodge Avenger Research
Dodge Avenger Explore the new Avenger and examine the various features it has to offer. The Avenger has a $1,500.00 cash rebate, which will help you save money on your next new car purchase. It has had 2 vehicle recalls, which can give you an idea about its reliability. You also might want to research the Volkswagen EOS and the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder.
