O.K. , now that the Drag Race season is almost over, I'm getting back to my roots and gonna try to get my hobby stock finished.
I just popped for the Steve Smith book, 'Building the Mustang Ministock' and so far I'm pretty happy with the info it contains. One of the suggestions it gives is to use the 79-86 fox body left front control arm and an 87-93 on the right because of the 1" difference in length.
Here's the question posed to you guys and gals, would it be worth it to stretch the right side any more to increase that offset?
Next, I'm sure some of you probably caught the nod to the hobby stock class then the use of a 101" W/B car and the reference to the ministock; well I haven't lost my mind, our local track just opened the rules up and will be allowing the 101" cars, and since I have access to lots of mustangs and parts and there is no replacement for displacement, the ministock is getting an upgrade to a warmed up 351.
Anybody with solid info on wheather or not the control arm stretch is a good idea please send a reply.
THANKS!
