turning a profit

Hey!I was just wondering how long it takes on average before one can expect to start making a profit... Is it just wishful thinking to believe that one would ever be able any money at this? What are your experiences?  

Depends on what you are doing.

Some tracks have bigger purses than others. Some drivers often put winnings back into the car. In most cases, it's not very likely to run a profit unless you get a ride in Indy or Nascar. For the most part, it can be a very expensive hobby.
