I have a 82 Olds Cutlass and we are having two problems right now.... First is the power steering pump....I have to replace the pump again because we keep pushin all the fluid out of it. Im not sure whats wrong why it keeps pushin the fluid out. We have an extended rubber neck on it. We have been told many things by other drivers like: we need to drop the size of the pulley on the crank or we need to drop the size of the pulley on the power steering and Im not sure which way to go or what to do. We just had a guy last night tell us to put a transmission cooler on the power steering.
Second is: my hubby drives the car on a regular basis (racing), I drive it in the Powder Puff. The wieght of the car with him in it is 3580 but his left front percentage of 53% is on the money. He says its still pushin real hard out of the corners. We have added weight and it doesnt seem to be helping.
We drive at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, FL. Its a 3/8 mile track with a little banking. I dont know all the specifics but if you ask me I will try to find out. Any help would be appreciated.
Oh the car has a 350 Chevy motor in it that is 40 over, 4 bolt main.
Thanks

Power Steering - You need a smaller pully on the crank. If you put a smaller pully on the pump you will be speeding up the pump.
Push- what do you mean by left front percentage? What springs are you running?
