Are there any tracks that still run the old non NASCAR rules where the fastest qualifiers start every race in the back, and the slowest up front? I grew up going to Barberton Speedway, Cloverleaf speedway, and Lorain County speedway in northeast ohio. The racing was great seeing the track favorites showing off their skills by passing car after car working their way up to the front for a victory. Seems like all the short tracks now run NASCAR rules so whoever has the most expensive race car is always the fastest qualifier, they start in first place, and end up winning the race. Watching a dozen races every night and to see each race start and end with the cars in the same position unless someone crashes or breaks down. Where is the race? Might as well just have the trophies past out after the qualifying is done and go home right? There has to be a track somewhere that has some racing instead of drivers buying their victories.
